Stainless steel
Ground and glass blasted surfaces can be cleaned with a common cleaning material as needed. It is recommended to do this at least a couple of time a year. If the surface is very dirty a wire pad can be used. But you have to be very careful to keep movements in the direction of grinding.

Coated surfaces
City furniture which has been powder painted with polyester powder in different RAL colours can be washed with a common cleaning material as needed, however recommended at least a couple of times a year. In order to make cleaning easier the surface can be treated with car wax. It makes the subsequent cleaning even easier. Coated surfaces can be repaired with alkyd paint if necessary.

Fabric
Primarily indoors our plinths may be covered with different types of fabric from Kvadrat. We have as a standard 5 different variants of natural and artificial fibres. Every one of the 5 variants have different demands for maintenance etc. Therefore please contact us concerning maintenance, cleaning, etc.

Wood
All wood has to be maintained if you want to keep the colour and glow of the wood. All wood will if left untreated get a grey/silver colour after 12-18 months. For hardwood that does not mean a lot with regards to durability as these types of wood are very oil-containing. If you want to maintain the furniture so they will keep their colour and glow we recommend the following: Washing the surface with cleaning material in a mild solution. Rinse with clean water. Areas with algae and mould fungus is washed thoroughly. Dried-out surfaces should be ground mat with sandpaper. Bare and impoverished wood is primed with a colourless priming oil. Finishing treatment with hardwood oil one or two times. In order to avoid the wood becoming too coloured/dark a mixture of colourless and golden can be used, however with at least 20% golden in the mixture. Always dry off excess/not absorbed oil.

Leather
Leather usually does not need much maintenance, but cannot do without it completely. 2 to 3 times a year is usually enough. Leather furniture which gets worn a lot, dirty, dries out etc. needs to be maintained more often than normal. Normal conditions are temperatures from 18 to 22 degrees centigrade and a relative humidity of 30 to 60%. Leather is cleaned with a dry cloth, possibly wrung in demineralised water. Thorough cleaning can be done with soap flake water, ¼ dl soap flakes for 1 l hot demineralised water which is cooled before use. Do not rub too much on the leather. Soap residue must be polished off with a dry cloth. Never use detergents, sulphone, solvents or other cleaning materials on leather.
